USB 2.0 All in One card reader is not recognised

Dear Sir,
I have pentium 4 working on windows XP pro updated with service pack2
purchased two years back.. I have purchased a new USB 2.0 all in one card
reader of Enter company having address entermultimedia.com. It is a plug and
play device which is installed automaically on recently bought PCs of same
OS and configuration. But on my PC I get a message that device is not
recognised. In device manager my usb ports are shown as

Intel (R) 82801 EB usb universal host controller-24D2
Intel (R) 82801 EB usb universal host controller.-24D4
Intel (R) 82801 EB usb universal host controller.-24D7
standard Enhanced PCI to USB Host Controller
USB root hub
USB root hub
USB root hub
USB root hub


when I insatll it, USB root hub one location changes to unknown device.
Will somebody Please help?

Read the instructions that came with the device. Most USB devices require
that drivers be installed before connecting the device. If you have further
problems you might consider asking again in a hardware or general discussion
newsgroup as this one specializes in networking issues.

I have tried all these but of no avail.
As per your advice I will switch over to suggested newsgroups.
