USA powerpoint map i can edit

I need to create a USA powerpoint map i can edit. i could do it in visio as
well and paste it into ppt. but don't know how to do that either? can
someone send me a editable USA map or tell me how to do it? i don't want to
pay.

I can think of a place that has editable maps drawn in PowerPoint, but they
do cost money. http://www.eschoolmaps.com/index.php

If you have Visio, though, it's easy enough to create. Just search for the
individual states and drag it onto the page and resize. When you have two on
the page, right click on one and select Arrange to Shape and then click on
the second one. It'll pop into place right where it's supposed to be. Save
it, and then in PowerPoint, do Insert>Object>From File and insert the Visio
file.

If you insert it into PPT and ungroup twice you can edit it.
