URL Truncation

When we convert a HTML file to word (though MHT), all the hyperlink URLs in
the word document are truncated. The url has only 496 characters. What would
be the reason behind this? I'm using Internet Explorer 6.0.

what is "MHT" (and did you mean "through")?

496 doesn't seem particulary _small_ for an URL, by the way.. ;-)

But we need to know more about the tools you're using to make an
educated guess ...

Hi Robert,

I have the same problem (although without so many characters).

If i highlight a cell in excel (2007 although i believe that this has been a
problem for earlier releases also) and create hyperlink.

Add the following to the address field (this is an internal site);

http://as01hscpizzabox/isr/Search_S...Code=Yes&SuppressCancelled=Yes&Output=Compact

Now click OK and click on the newly created hyperlink you are navigated to;

http://as01hscpizzabox/isr/Search_S...Checked=1+AND+ISRType=0+AND+Canceled=0&Order=

A truncated hyperlink, it seems like the create hyperlink field is limited
to 256 characters.

Is there a workaround for this?

Thanks,
Mark
