[URGENT] Domain Unavailable When Accessed from Different Subnet

Hi guys, I am in a trouble now and need your kind help!

We have bunch of computers in a new lab, and we would
like to add them into an existin' Win2k domain. The new
computers and the DC(and the DNS) are located in
different subnets, and there are various of
routers/firewalls in between.

In my opinion, the DNS is the most important thing that
could help those new machines communicate w/ the exisitng
DC and fetch resources in the domain.

So, I configured new machines w/ address of those DNS
servers in our existin' domain. In addition, I have asked
the Network administrator to allow DNS queries from the
new machines to the DC. However, the new machines could
not locate our domain. Error message says that the domain
is unavailable. FYI, I could use UNC name to connect to
machines in our domain w/ correct user account and
password.

Anyone could gimme a hint of what may be wrong? Acutally,
I thought the firewall in between the new machines and
the DC/DNS is the problem. However, the Network
administrator may have no idea about Win2k domain stuff.
So, I would have to find out the solution by myslef.
