Upsizing to what?

I have 70 some odd mdb’s that require some level of upsizing. All are used on
LAN’s with split front ends and back ends. Some of these mdb’s will require
WAN’s. Some will stay local, but in need of ‘more power’. Most of these mdb’s
are fairly complex programs using many modules. I see 3 major options towards
upsizing.
1) Maintain the same front end’s and utilize a Citrix farm possibly
migrating the data mdb’s to SQL Server. (least initial cost)
2) Rebuild the front ends to utilize SQL Server from an Access Project
(adp). (somewhat costly as there is a lot of code to be rewritten)
3) Rebuild without Access utilizing a .Net language linked to SQL Server.
(most costly, but better for the long term?)
Any suggestions here would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
M

Am I to assume that this question is beyond the pay grade of most who so
skillfully contribute to the general knowledge? Or is it so poorly
constructed as to not warrant comment. Why?
Posted inappropriately? My mistake, it should have been under General
Questions.
I would really like to know what others have done and what is considered
optimal.
