Uploading backup of Auto Text and Macros

My hard drive recently crashed, and I saved everything to an external drive
prior to reformatting the hard drive. How do I re-install my Auto Text,
Macros, and Dictionary (everything I use to work as a medical
transcriptionist) back into Word?

The article http://www.word.mvps.org/FAQs/General/FilesToBackup.htm tells
you where to find the necessary files.

Specifically, AutoText and macros are stored in templates (*.dot files). If
you didn't make the effort to store them in other templates, they'll all be
in Normal.dot.

To find the custom dictionary, Custom.dic, follow the instructions in
"Custom spelling dictionaries" in the article -- it depends on what version
of Word you have.

If you didn't save the preferences that are stored in the registry as
described there, those will have to be recreated in the various tabs of the
Options dialog and a few other places.
