Mike

I have a page with the upload form component on it. It is
an ASP page. When I upload a picture, the page refreshes
bu no pictures are in the folder I specified.

XP Pro

FP 2003

Extensions 2002

Any ideas?

You can not use the FP upload component on a page the has any extension other than .htm or .html.

Mike,

When I test the upload on my development laptop, it works
perfectly (html file)and the images are uploaded. I
uploaded the changed pages to the site and get the
following error:

Form Validation Error
Please correct the information you provided by following
these steps, then submit the information again:

Cannot create folder "_vti_cnf".

What does that mean?

Have you checked with your host to see if you are allowed to use this component, also the remote
server must have the FP2002 extensions.

Have your ISP / WPP check the FP Server Extensions (FPSE) to make sure they are installed correctly.

your host may not allow that component to be used - at all. (security risk
factor).

I verified that the component is OK to use before we
published. I also had the ISP lock down folders using
NTFS permissions where the upload component page is
located.

Could this be the issue?

Server extensions have been re-installed 1x already.

You need to let FP manage the permissions on the folder, not via the OS. FP will set the permissions
required on the folder you set to allow uploads.

Tom,

Thanks. I will let the ISP know this.

Hopefully, this will correct the issue.
