After noticing /!\warnings in my event log concerning userenv: "Windows
saved user SELF-DB******F3\Chris registry while an application or service
was still using the registry during log off. The memory used by the user's
registry has not been freed. The registry will be unloaded when it is no
longer in use.", I downloaded UPHClean, and set it up to report where the
problem(s) were found when Closing my profile at logoff.
Below is the resulting info UPHClean logged into event viewer I found after
rebooting:
Event Type: Information
Event Source: UPHClean
Event Category: None
Event ID: 1501
Date: 6/21/2007
Time: 7:25:05 PM
User: SELF-DB******F3\Chris
Computer: SELF-DB******F3
Description:
The following handles opened in user profile hive SELF-DB******F3\Chris
(S-1-5-21-484******-140*******-68200****-1***) are preventing the
profile from unloading:
svchost.exe (896)
HKCU (0x24c)
For more
information, see Help and Support Center at
http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/events.asp.
As there is no information at the above link - I'm hoping someone here with
UPHClean knowledge, might be able to explain what is or could be going on
here, and how I can correct this problem.
TIA
