Upgrading Windows 2000 to 2003 - remotely

I understand that it's possible to upgrade Windows 2000 to 2003 via Terminal
Services (in remote admin mode), as long as you have some type of NIC
definition file in place before the post-upgrade reboot.

Has anyone attempted this before, and been successful? If so, where did you
find info about it?

Hmmm, I did it over Terminal services without thinking twice about it. In
hindsight, maybe I shouldn't trust terminal services as much as I do. I
attempted it on two servers. One was straight-forward and successful. The
other had some metabase error with ism.dll that is related to IIS, which
rolled-back the install correctly.

I never once logged on directly at the terminal.
