Upgrading to 2007

I manage and update the database in my office. If I upgrade to Access 2007
and the rest of the office does not, how will this affect the database?

Switchboard: Can I create forms with macro buttons that will open form, etc.

Security: If i make the database run with the 2007 security, will the
others operating 2003 be able to access the database.

you can be a user and admin the mdb.

but not development.

not sure what you mean by "07 security" as native 07 accdb format eliminates
the prior mdb format for user level security

What type of security does 2007 have? Can't I block some from going in to
certain areas?

There is no longer security in Access 2007. If you want to secure your database you should switch to SQL Server with Access front end.

Presumably you will continue to use the MDB format rather than the new ACCDB
format, so users on older versions can still use it. A2007 respects the
security of MDB files, but ACCDB doesn't have security.
