Upgrading from ME to Windows XP SP2

I currently have Windows ME from 2001 that's a Dimension 2100...Can I upgrade
that to Windows XP SP 2 without any problems. I tried before wtih XP and
some pre-installed programs did not work (which was fine) however my printer
(Epson Color 880) did not work, which is a problem for me. Will I encounter
this problem again? And if so, would it just be better if I get another
printer that is compatible?

Epson has a Windows XP driver for the Stylus Color 880. See
http://www.epson.com/cgi-bin/Store/...oid=11473&infoType=Downloads&platform=Windows
(very long URL may wrap to two lines).

Download that driver before you upgrade and then install it
immediately afterwards.

As for your other software, you will have to check each program out
with the manufacturer of that program. You could post a list of the
"problem" apps back here. It is possible that someone on these
newsgroups will know the answer for at least some of them.

Good luck
