upgrading a dell desktop from 98 to XP Home

Does anyone know if a Dell Dimension XPS T600 with a PIII,
256MB RAM and a 20GB HD that originally shipped with Win
98 2nd edition would upgrade smoothly to XP Home edition?
Any advice or guidelines would be welcome.

It "should" be fine. I have a few Dells here, both new and old, and havent
had a lot of issues with them. Run the upgrade report on the machine and
also look into getting ALL the device drivers updated. Dell's website
usually has good information on machine upgrades as well so you may want to
look there.
