Upgraded to XP / no more HD space

I just upgraded my laptop from ME to XP Pro. Before the upgrade I had around
4-5GB remaining on my 10GB drive. Now I have a measly 130MB remaining!
Is this right? Surely something is wrong. I know XP uses more HD space but
that much?
Please let me know what (if anything) I can do.
Thanks

Did you upgrade, or create a dual boot?

Yes, XP can take up to about 3 gig of space. If you upgraded, one of the options in Disk Cleanup is to remove the backup files for your ME installation. This backup is probably consuming quite a bit of space.

If you mean "Windows 98/ME installation files....they only account
for 4.4MB of space.
