Upgraded RAID driver now server won't start

Huppy

Hi,

I've remotely upgraded the RAID driver on a server (via terminal services)
and now it won't boot. The server boots from the raid 5 array.

I was wondering what's the best way to recover this situation. As I''m not
physically close to the server I can't see how far into the boot cycle it
goes.

The server is a dell 2400 with perc 2si if that helps.

Thanks in advance for any help. I'm going to have to go and fix this
tomorrow!

I don't think you can do anything through TS, if the server doesn't boot.
If you can be at the server, boot the server with Last known good
configuration. If it still doesn't work, you may have to reinstall Windows in
order to update HAL (Hardware Access Layer).

..... & in addition, to the OP - there's some stuff I don't like to do via
TS, ever - anything involving networking on the local machine itself. It's
too easy to paint yourself into a corner.
