upgraded mobo and cpu

I have recently replaced my mobo and p3 cpu for an asrock mobo and athlon
cpu. windows reactivated ok. Do still need to reinstall windows pro to
achieve full potntial of hardware.

I take it you installed Home with your new hardware? If so, going to Pro
won't give you any more of a performance gain, as either version will use
the hardware the same way. Unless you truly have dual processors, you don't
need to do this. But if you have a Pro disk, and it can be installed, then
it would be up to you as more preference than need.

I alrady have xp pro intalled. What I want to know is if there is any need to
reinstall windows after this upgrade?

Paul;
Normally a Repair Installation is required to properly detect the new
hardware after a motherboard replacement.
But not always.

If everything is fine, there is no reason for any type of reinstallation.
At this point even if you have driver issues, install the latest Windows XP
drivers.

No, if your Windows is running fine, and to the newer specs, then you are
good to go. You may want to check with the chip maker (or MOBO maker), and
see if you need to update the drivers for your newer chipset.
