Upgrade WinXP Pro to WinXP Pro 64 bit

I had winXP Home, recently I purchased WinXP Pro and installed in my
machine... now I am upgrading my computer to 64 bit processor and would like
to go in for OS WinXP 64 bit. Is this upgrade possible?, if yes how to do
that and what would be the cost involved in the same?.

Thanks in advance

AFAIK XP PRO 64 requires a fresh install , it is not an "upgrade"

There is no upgrade path from a 32-bit operating system to
a 64-bit operating system. You would need to purchase the
64-bit version of Windows XP Professional, then perform
a "clean install".

Example:

Microsoft Windows XP Professional X64 Edition Single Pack - OEM

Clean Install Windows XP

and ensure you can source functioning drivers for your hw, first

If there are doubts OP could download the trial version of WinXP x64
Edition and install this...
