I am currently on Outlook 2002. I want to upgrade to Outlook 2003. How do I
do that while keeping my information including: email, contacts, calendar,
tasks, and so on?

The upgrade process will retain all of those items in your list...that
is assuming the upgrade does not fail. To be safe, backup your PST file
prior to the upgrade (that is the single file that contains your
message, calendar, contacts, etc.).

I tried to do the backup, but it said "Cannot copy Outlook: The process
cannot access the file because another process has locked another portion of
the file". What do I do?

Close Outlook first, then copy.
