Upgrade Pricing from Windowx XP x64 to Vista 64 bit

Does anyone know the pricing for an upgrade from Windows XP x64 to Vista 64
bit? I know I need to make a clean install but don't know what the pricing
will be. That will make a very large difference for me to decide even
whether to upgrade.

Marty;
I do not think their is upgrade pricing.
If Vista 64 will be OEM only, do not expect an upgrade option since
typically OEM are not available as an upgrade.

If there is an upgrade option, I expect it to be identical to 32 bit.

I thought Vista retail will come with both x86 and x64 on two DVD's. So
surely at least the full edition is not OEM only.

Personally, I have never seen an OEM version that wasn't an eligible product
for upgrade, plus the GetReady page
http://www.microsoft.com/windowsvista/getready/upgradeinfo.mspx
specifically says it is. Copied from the notes

Notes:
If you are currently using Windows 2000 Professional or Windows XP
Professional x64, you are eligible for an upgrade copy to a corresponding or
better edition of Windows Vista, but a clean install is required.

Can anyone tell me what this note means? Do I get a special copy of vista to
download/upgrade/or buy. Is it just saying there is a 64 bit version of
windows. I have windows XP x64 Professional. I would like either Vista Home
premium or ultimate edition. What pathway should I take to get Vista

Buy the upgrade version you want. You are eligible but must do a clean
install no matter which edition or version you choose.
