Upgrade from W98SE to W2K

I am currently on W98SE but I want to upgrade to W2K using a clean
installation (instead of upgrade).
Will the clean installation wipe out my existing hardware driver softwares
in addition to wiping out my existing application softwares such as MS
Office, NAV, Adobe, etc. ???
I can reinstall my application softwares but I will have a hard time
restalling the hardware driver softwares if they are wiped out.

A clean install does as it says - everything on C: is wiped out - any apps
on other drives will no longer function, as they install files to the win
drive. Any data on other drives will be fine.
In any case you will likely need updated drivers as win2k is v.different to
win9*

Considering that Windows will wipe the drive & change from FAT32 to NTFS
which is a completely different file system

Yes, of course.

The Win98 Device drivers would be of no use to Win2K, anyway. You'll
need to download the Win2K-specific device drivers from each component's
manufacturer's web site.

Before proceeding, though, you'd better take a few minutes to
ensure that there are Win2K device drivers available for your computer's
specific components. There may not be, if the PC was specifically
designed for Win95. Have you made sure the PC is capable of supporting
Win2K? This information will be found at the PC's manufacturer's web
site, and on Microsoft's Hardware Compatibility List
(http://www.microsoft.com/hcl/default.asp). Also bear in mind that
computers designed for, and sold with, Win95 very often fail to meet
Win2K's much more stringent hardware quality requirements.
