Upgrade from 98SE

I am attempting to upgrade from windows 98 SE and it just stops during the preparing for installation after about the 2nd time that it restarts it hangs up during the restart process while the blue cursor is going across the box in the middle of the screen.

Lets check if there are any usb devices connected to the
computer or if there are any external peripherals other
than the mouse, keyboard and the monitor connected to the
computer. If they are connected disconnect them from the
computers end and then continue with the setup and U r
most likely to have win xp running on your system without
any issues

Since you apparently posted this as a new message and did not include the
