Upgrade Dev Platform

Chris

Hi,
We are in the middle of developing an application with
Windows 2000, sql server 2000/Access 2000 .ADP . There are
2 developers working on this project. Our software support
guys now want to provide a new PC running windows xp and
office xp to my co-developer, and I am wondering if this
will cause us any problems.

Will there be any issues if I continue to write some of
the software on my system and he writes some on a
different system.

If so, could we remove those problems just by me upgrading
my access to access 2002 or would I need to upgrade my os
too?

Does anyone have any experience of developing in this kind
of cross platform manner?

Thanks in advance
Chris

My current ADP project is using exactly the same versions, and I am going to
upgrade the Access clients to XP to get around a number of bugs present in
A2000.

I am using Access XP to create an ADP in 2000 format. Things that work on
my machine do not work on clients with A2000.

Special thanks to Sylvain Lafontaine for confirming for me that this is a
valid move to make.
