Hi all,

I have a Windows 98se OEM system, and what I am trying to find out is
whether or not I can use an upgade to Windows XP (SP2) using an Upgrade
version of XP?

I was given an XP Upgrade package for Christmas, but I'm having problems
installing the thing.

Many thanks in advance.

Yes, works fine. OEM only applies when the CD used to upgrade is OEM. What
you upgrade over or use for a qualifer does not matter if it is retail or
OEM, upgrade or Full.

Run the XP CD within W98.. that is to say, place it in the CD drive and let
it autostart.. select option 4 to run the compatibility check.. print out
the results and take note of what will not work under XP..
