i have a installed service pack 2 and using the symantec antivirus corporate
edition 9 with def of 23 mar05.... now when i am updating the def by
intelligent updater...it gives me a error window with heading ::::
"16 bit windows subsystem". contents are
""""C;\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\AUTOEXEC.NT. The system file is not suitable for
running MS-DOS and Microsoft applications. Choose 'Close' to terminate the
application.""""
i have options of "close" and "ignore" on the pop up window that comes...
it was working fine till a fortnight ago and was updating the definations
regularly....
ive got microsoft antispyware beta installled with latest updates...no
spyware as per that....
got blackice firewall and application protection also installed....
a week ago i was trying to work with perfect keylogger after that this has
started... i am suspecting it to be the culprit....what could be the course
of action besides reinstalling the complete operating system........
ive checked the registry/startup programs/running services.....etc but no
trace of the malicious program.......?????????????
