Updates seem to have stalled

Hi There,

I have a computer that someone else started the automatic updates on. I
have no idea what updates they were. During shutdown the computer has been
on 23 of 62 for the last two hours. The computer has not locked up at all,
but I noticed the hard drive light is no longer flashing. Is there any way
to get out of these updates that are left to be installed? This is a Windows
XP professional.

Did you just reinstall Windows or do a Repair Install? Why wasn't Automatic
Updates enabled in the first place?
