Update hyperlink in VB

I try to update a field in a table of the type hyperlink.
When I use VB I get the error it is read-only, but I can
update the hyperlink manually (with right mouse click,
Edit hyperlink, etc.) without any problem.

Can anybody help?

Are you assigning a correctly formatted value, with the two # characters?
