unwanted downloads

im not too good with my computer /so thats why im askin
some questions /im getting these unwanted downloads on my
computer thats called lycos/i delet it from my screen and
in the control panel/but still it comes back/just like in
internet explorer /my home page says i-look up /i keep
changen it and it keeps coming back/now because of all
these unwanted downloades my computer is running slower
then ever/if i want to chat with relatives i cant because
of that home page from internet explorer is giving me
alot of pop ups/i know because of the lack of money /that
i need to get some kind of virus protection soon i will
get it /but please can i get a little help i will really
love to fix my computer so i can keep in contact with
relatives that live far. thank you

It's not a virus as such, it's called browser hijacking or spyware of adware
or just generally a pain in the a**.

First to stop such things sneaking in try this....

The visist www.lavasoftusa.com and download their program called Ad-Aware
and the latest definitions file... read the instructions. I think Ad-Aware
will help you get rid of this.

No need to buy an Antivirus program. www.grisoft.com has an excellent free
version called AVG which I've used for years and is just as good (or better)
than the expensive ones.
