Unwanted Device Driver Installation Wizard

Guest

After installing a new hard drive to my Compaq nx9010 laptop and the XP
operating system with SP2 sucessfully. Everytime i log in to XP a Device
Driver Installation Wizard pops up stating the installation is complete and
gives the Installation Results below. However no driver or result details are
actually ever shown in the box below so i am unable to idnetify any offending
driver. How do i stop this pop up appearing. Sometimes the laptop crashes
soon after.

If by that you mean you didnt install Compaq drivers the answer is yes,
simply download and install from compaq site, specific to your laptop.
Or if you have the compaq drivers cd install from them

PS Do NOT use winupdate for drivers

Try this:

Open RegEdit

Go to:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run\UIUCU "c:\...\temp\uiucu.exe -clean_up"

Delete this key
