Unwanted Background pattern

For some reason, when I open any Word document, I get a graph paper grid
pattern in the background. If I go to Format->Background->No Fill, it goes
away, but it shows up again each time I open a document.

I'm using Office 2000, if that's any help.

Display the Drawing toolbar. Click Draw > Grid and uncheck the option "Display
gridlines on screen".

I don't know why the No Fill background does anything to the grid, but I don't
have Word 2000 handy to check on it.

Thanks! That worked!
