Unreadable disc

Been running XP pro for the last 2 years but would like to go back to using
my old win2k pro, my only problem is when I install win2k pro on a formatted
drive my secondary hard drive is unreadable, all my backups are on the
secondary drive and I dont relish the thought of having to burn 250 gig worth
of dvds.
Is there any way I can install win2k pro and still access my backup drive?

You may also have to take ownership of the files after you enable 48-Bit
LBA Support.
