Unread Mail still shows Read Mail

Outlook 2003 at work is working correctly, but at home, if I've read an
email, it and it's folder still show up in Unread Mail. This has been going
on for months, but it's getting really annoying now, with nearly all my mail
folders showing up in Unread Mail.

Are you using the Reading Pane? If so, check these settings:

Tools > Options > Other Tab > Reading Pane

Make sure that either "Mark items as read when viewed in the Reading Pane"
and/or "Mark items as read when selection changes" are checked.

To get caught up, right click the "Unread mail" folder and select "Mark All
as Read".

Thanks...Reading Pane is set as "Mark items as read..." - Wait 2
seconds....so the items DO get marked as read, but looking at Unread Mail
right now shows me 4 folders with no Unread mail. Something I did a couple
days ago set it correctly, and only Unread mail showed up then, but since
then it's showing me folders that I've already the mail in again.
