Unmatched files

I have a number of files that show "unmatched" The blue arrow shows on the
local web site. I deleted one of the files from the remote site than
published the site again. Still shows 'unmatched'. The local file size is
4412B the remote site shows the same file as 3291B. This has been going on
for some time and does not seem to be a problem. Should I be concerned?

I deleted the remote file. Recalulated the local site. Published it.... no
change. I still get "unmatched" on the remote and local.

You are publishing to a site hosted on a Unix server?
The difference in file size is down to the different way files are built on
Unix - the Unix file will be one character smaller for each line of code in
the page. Publishing automatically makes the conversion. Any optimisation
settings will also make a difference.

Try opening the remote site and use Tools->Recalculate Hyperlinks
If this fails to resolve the issue then a full publish (all pages) should
bring the webs back into synch.

That did it, recalculateing the remote site put everything back in sync. I
guessing it is not necessary however since it does not seem to hurt anything.
Thanks all and have a safe end-of-year.
