Unlink a workbook

Dan

I copied certain cells to a new wookbook, and now it asks
if I want to keep the existing info or update all linked
info every time I open it. I don't want any linked info,
and I see the files under the EDIT>LINKS... menu item, but
how do I delete or unlink these files. One is a prior .XLS
file, and another is XLQUERY.XLA which I also do not need
anymore. Thanks.

There is a utility written by Bill Manville's called Findlink.zip it is
normally available from
http://www.bmsltd.co.uk/MVP/Default.htm

but that site seems to be down at the moment so you can get it from

http://www.acctadv.com/exdownload.shtml

When you unzip it you have to go to Tools, addins, then browse to where the
..xla file is.
Then to use go to Tools, and 'find links' should be on that menu.
I usually use the middle option which gives me a list of the links, so I can
change them or delete them as I wish.

or read John Walkenbach's advice:
