Unknown window pop-up

Todd

I have recently been receiving a windows pop-up that only
says "Unresolve" and contains a click "OK" button.
However it keeps popping up.

In an unrelated (or possibly related) problem, my systems
appears to be crashing very regularly and subsequently
rebooting (it seems to be crashing when I am online).

I have sweeped my system for viruses and recently
eliminated the Backdoor Ranky virus. My Norton anti-virus
scans show no viruses.

Can anyone help?

I'd also look for and eliminate any spyware garbage that
may be on there also.

AdAware is a nice program and can be found at

You must also run SpyBot in conjunction with Adware which are both free
(http://download.com.com/3000-2144-10194058.html?tag=lst-0-1). Make certain
that you download the latest data definition files. You'd be surprised how
many machines I've service that have the software installed but the users
*never* downloaded the data definitions files. At least they have the
pretty icons on their desktop.

Also, download SpyWareBlaster to keep those miserable parasites from
reinfecting your system. In my experience, it works very well. Free.

Again, make sure you download those latest data definition files or it's
pretty much of an exercise in futility.

Also download and run SpyWareBlaster

Part of my unfortunate job is to bail people out of their browser problems.
The system locks up when they're browsing or they're unundated with pop-ups.
Mind you, these people don't browse to waste time. The more time they waste
on the computer, the longer they have to stay at work until they complete
their assignment (no overtime). Unfortunately, these people are not
computer-savvy enough to know that there are parasites on the computer
unless they happen to mention it to me in casual conversation. Then I go
through the drill: SpyBot, Adaware, SpyWareBlaster. It's solved each and
every single problem to date. They're able to do their job faster and go
home sooner. Forgot to mention --- they have to use the Internet and
browse as part of their job.
