Unknown Publisher Error

I have a client that has Access 2003 running on a Windows Server 2003 SP1.
The users connect to the server via Remote Destop Connection. The
application is split into an .mdb file for the data and another for the
application with links to the data.

A few days ago, one of the users deleted the shortcut that activiated the
application. They have restored/recreated the short cut and are now getting
the "Open File - Security Warning" error indicating that the application .mdb
publisher is unknown.

They go ahead and bypass the error by clicking on the "Open" button, but
only one user can access the application at a time.

What causes this error and how can I get rid of it and allow shared access
to the application?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I can see how deleting & recreating the shortcut could cause them to
start getting an Access "user level security" warning - "You do not
have permission to open this database", or somesuch. That would happen
if the database had been secured, and the user did not include, in the
new shortcut, a /wrkgrp switch to locate the proper workgroup file.

But I can't see how deleting & recreating the shortcut, could cause
/macro security/ warnings to start appearing - which is what your
message sounds like.

It's an obvious suggestion, but, have you checked their shortcut
against a "known good" shortcut from some other PC?
