Unknown adapters!

Marco

While workinlg with my PC today the system flashed a blue
screen and rebooted itself. However while rebooting the
system again flashed a blue screen (too quickly to read)
then seemed to be starting normally then again rebooted
itself this time with the standard black screen promted
how I would like to start. I chose safe mode, when there
I entered the device manager, all looked normal but when
I expanded the Network adapters I saw not only my NIC but
also the following; Direct Parallel, WAN Miniport (IP),
WAN Miniport (IP) - Packet Scheduler Miniport, WAN
Miniport (L2TP), WAN Miniport (PPPOE), and WAN Miniport
(PPTP). I did not install any of these adapters and I
can't delete them. When I do I receive the following
error "Failed to uninstall the device. The device may be
required to boot up the computer." When I restarted the
same issue occured and I had to enter safe mode. This
time I disable all the additional adapters and the system
started normally. I still can not delete those adapters
nor do I have any clue how they got there or what they
do. If any can help please email me.

Thanks, Marco

All those devices are normal and shouldn't be deleted. Do you have modem
installed?
