unique date. inventory

Hi,

I am currently making a table. I would like each record to be unique from
any other by the [Date] field. No date can be repeated twice. The purpose
of the table is to store inventory information. For a particular day, we
have a number of inventory items available, and a number of inventory items
used. I would like to restrict the [Date] field so that no numeric date in
the "00/00/0000" format can be repeated. Is there a way to do this?

Sure, just make that field indexed and don't allow duplicates.
