Union Query - No Results Appear

I have a union query that runs without error however, once it completes
running no results are displayed on the screen. If I copy out each subquery
in the union query and run it the results screen appears. THere are some
subqueries that return null datasets none ever error out. Also, if I run the
union query in Access 97 it runs fine. Any ideas on how to resolve this issue?

Chris,

First I would check to make sure that all of the columns in the individual
portions of the union are in the same sequence and of the same type.

When you say "no results are displayed on screen", what do you mean? Are
you running the query in the query grid, and no results are returned there,
or are you talking about using this as a RecordSource for a form and no
records show up on the form?

I've checked all of the fields and datatypes and they definitely match.

When I say no results appear I mean that when I double-click on the query
the progress bar shows that it is running and the cursor turns to an
hourglass however, once the progress bar finishes the hourglass turns back to
an arrow and now query results appear. I am just looking at the database
window like nothing ever happened. The same thin happens when I execute the
query from the design view only instead of the database window remaining its
the design view of the query.
