Uninstalling 2000 Pro OS and keep XPPro/tablet

Hi, I have a very long description of what happened...sorry.

A few weeks ago, I installed an update from Windows and apparantly it wasn't
made for Tablet PC 2005. So, for whatever reason, all of my tablet functions
were removed - all of the files for the functions.

I tried reinstalling every hardware driver, OEM drivers, etc. I do not have
a TabletPC OS disk, so I could not repair it. I purchased through a 3rd
party (refurbished, but manufacturer approved) so all I have is the Product
key, but no software. Oh...and tried sysrestore, but it didn't recover those
files.

Ok, so to make matters worse, when I installed the wacom driver, I lost USB
support (no keyboard access) and hotkey function on the slate. So, no
keyboard, no mouse, no pen, no hotkeys = no input devices. I could not do
anything!

So, out of panic and refusing to have to send my computer back or wait for a
disk from Windows, I grabbed the closest OS CD and popped it in. I tossed it
in and installed so I could at least regain minimal function hoping there
might be something do download or a magic fix available. Needless to say,
not so much. My keyboard worked but I wasn't able to find a way to get the
missing files back.

OK...next....so I got the bright idea that maybe if I loaded XP Home
(remembered I had a recovery disk for my desktop) I'd be able to update with
SP2 and maybe the new Wacom driver would work. No...BUT It did somehow
recover TabletPC function. I don't know how, but magically it worked.

So my question is, how do I get rid of these other 2 installs of Windows? I
don't need 3 versions of Windows on my computer and it's taking up useful
space. Help?

Thank you,
Angela

So,

Find out the folders where the unwanted installations of Windows
reside, then rename each of them to something like Windows.bad.
Wait a week to see if all is well, then delete the renamed folders and
empty your recyle bin.

Thank you so much. I also discovered I had a virus 2 days ago that NOTHING
was finding. Hijack this caught it but no searches anywhere could tell me
what type of virus and what to do.

Anyway I did finally remove it and renamed the windows folders. I am
waiting to delete them. Is that the only folder to delete? The unused
windows directories?
