uninstalled exchange now cannot start outlook

I did a test installation of exchange 2000 using my outlook xp.
I uninstalled the exchange due to configuration conflicts and now I cannot
open my outlook. I get a message that outlook cannot start because there is
no exchange server installed.

Go to the control panel. Double click the mail icon and delete the email
account (exchange account)... if that doesn't work go back to the mail icon
and create a new profile.
