Ungrouping in 2007

I have read some comments on ungrouping in PP 2007.

What I do not understand is the following. I grouped some shapes in PP.
Copied it into Word. Realised that I need to change it so tried to ungroup
it. However, I cannot ungroup it anymore in PP. Creating a copy in order to
ungroup it didn´t work either. I must admit it is really irritating when
useful functions in previous applications disappear. Am I am now supposed to
save all drawings in PowerPoint ungrouped in order to make future changes?

Also, why has the recolour option gone? I tried to recolor a clipart but all
I can do is changing all the fill colour but not single parts unless I
ungroup the clipart, select the many little bits I wish to recolor and choose
a new one. This is so time consuming.

Fixed it. It seems like I have to use "paste special" and to choose graphic.
That way I am unable to ungroup it later again.

Thanks for getting back -- as for your second question on recoloring, that
option is gone from PowerPoint 2007. However, if you still have PowerPoint
2003 or earlier installed you can do the recolor there and then get it back
into PowerPoint 2007. Not an ideal solution, but it is a workaround.
