Unexpected Power Down

My SONY VAIO Notebook (pcg-grz660) just began powering down for no apparent reason. I have run all sorts of diagnostics, but can't seem to figure out the problem. One common thread is always happens when I am using the DVD drive. It has also happened a few times when using Photoshop (no DVD in that case). I have Norton System Doctor running and the CPU Usage indicator seems to go to 100% just before it powers down. Any clues?

I don't get it. I'm plugged in. Could the battery still have something to do with it??
