Après six heures de préparation de la gravure, pendant lesquelles tout
semblait bien se passerapparaît le message "une erreur inconnue s'est
produite lors de l'enregistrement de la vidéo sur le CD".

Comment savoir quelle erreur "inconnue" s'est produite et comment la réparer ?

I am afraid that we will understand each other much better if I will try to
use my bad English instead of your wonderful French. So I will try to
translate my first question :

After six hours during which WMM2 seemed to work normally preparing for
burning a dvd of an "avi" video file 114 minutes long, at the precise moment
when the burning seemed and should be accomplished, appeared a message in
French saying approximetely "an unknown error occured at the moment of the
burning of the video on the CD", without any explanation or details about the
error or about the way to eliminate it.

My burner (do you call so ?) is a IISONIC DVD Burner Dual 8x + Card Reader,
ref.: 118708, I have used virgin Memorex 4.7 GB/120min/1X - 8x, and the video
came from a Pinnacle's Studio 9 transformed in an "avi" file.

I hope I have answered all your questions, as far as I understood them and
of course I can answer all other questions, if any.

Can you help me by finding the error's origin and the way to eliminate it ?

My French is much worse than your English, as I only practice it once a year
for a weeks skiing!! Google and an English - French Translation programme is
one of the wonders of the internet.

Which programme did you use to author (make) the dvd. You say the burner is
a Sonic adn the avi file came from Pinnacle studio, but not what you used to
convert the avi file to the mpeg2 required and then make the dvd.
Could you also say which settings you used in this programme to make the
mpeg2 file, like constant bitrate / variable / how high the bitrate setting
was, 6,000kb, 8,000kb etc and what type of audio file was created if you are
given the option. (pcm/ac-3)

It could be though be as simple as at 114 mins you reached a point where the
disc was just a little bit too full.
