This is a problem most accountants have when working with financial
statements. With proportional fonts, and underlining columns of numbers, how
do you get a consistently-sized space in front of the numbers so that the
underlining lines up correctly? (This is easily achieved with a Courier font,
because a space equals a Courier letter or number, but the proportional fonts
have a better appearance.)
I tried to attach a table to illustrate but was unsuccessful.
