unblocking events

Maybe I did not supply enough information to solve my
problem. Therefore, I am including more info.

I allowed spyware to block PCHButton.exe from being added
to my startup registry. I subsequently discovered that
this file is needed by HP support to access the
Internet. When I view the application log, it says that
the file was placed in the user's blocked startup file
list. I have not been able to find this list or to
unblock the file. When viewing blocked files, it says
that there are no blocked files. The following entry is
from the applications event log:
...
A startup value (Acme.PCHButton:C:\PROGRA~1\HPINST~1
\Pavilion\XPHNABS3EN\plugin\bin\PCHButton.exe) has been
denied permission to be added to your startup registry
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersio
n\Run. This program is in the user's blocked startup file
list.
But when I view the blocked files, I get a message that
says that there are no blocked files.

Does anyone know how to unblock this file or can direct
me to someone who can?

I`m not altogether 100% sure exactly what you mean by
`spyware` `application log` and `block start up file
list`. I assume you are talking about MSAS? If so do you
have the latest version installed 1.0.615?

If you block an application start up event in MSAS it
should appear (among other things)by navigating to the
Tools/Realtime Protection/View All Blocked Events screen.
From there you can unblock the events using the options
available on the page. Are you saying you`ve done this and
your blocked event/file is not there?

Yes, I am talking about MSAS. Yes I do have the latest
version 1.0.615. Yes, I did View All Blocked Events. No,
my blocked file is not there.
