unable to use CTRL+spacebar in my laptop

I am unable to use CTRL+spacebar in my laptop. Please help me out. How to
assign or remove keyboard shortcuts in excel.

What happens when you hit ctrl-spacebar?

I don't have anything special assigned to that key combination and I select the
whole column in the current selection.
