Unable to uninstall an object

Hi all
I don't know if i'm in the correct forum for this question and if i'm not
please guide me to the right place. Thanks.
I have recently accidently acquired a program called "Fotonation", in "my
computer", under devices with removeable storage, named "my digital camera.
I think it was installed with adobe acrobat which I uninstalled.
Can anyone advise me how to uninstall this guy. I've been trying for hours,
but unable to find out how.
Appreciate any helpful response.
I could try system restore but am afraid Of losing other files.
Thanks in advance

In the thousands of installs of Adobe products that I've done for clients
over the many, many years I've been in this business, I've never had
"Fotonation" mysteriously and magically appear. So no, I very much doubt
this came along with an installation of Adobe Acrobat or Adobe Reader.

Doing a Google for "Fotonation" (always the the first step with questions
like this) brings me to its homepage here:

http://www.fotonation.com/

"FotoNation is the leading independent provider of embedded imaging
technology to the digital photograpy industry. Over 60 million digital
cameras have been shipped with FotoNation imaging technology and
intellectual property."

Its products page shows that its software goes on (or with) mobile phones
and digital cameras.

So I expect this is something that got installed with camera or mobile phone
drivers/software. You must surely know what you've installed. Since you
haven't told us what you've tried in the hours you've been struggling with
this project, that's as specific as I can get. Perhaps if you look at
Fotonation's website it will trigger a memory.

Hi Malke
Thanks for your response.
I was just guessing that it was from Adobe because I installed a couple of
their products. As you say, it popped up mysteriously and I'll probably never
fine out from where, in my travels through the web today.
Anyway, I took a gamble and used system restore to an earlier date without
losing anything, and Happily, it was gone. Thanks again. Have a good day.
