unable to sync calendar to pocket pc

I recently purchased an IPAQ 3870, pocket pc. I installed the Outlook 2002
upgrade and active sync 3.5, later upgrading to 3.8. The machines were able
to sync 1 time, but I have been unable to sync the calendars ever since. I
am able to sync everything else. I have removed and reinstalled Outlook 2002
and activesync, however, I repeatedly get an error message of 8007000e. I
started deleting items from the pocket pc and entering them directly into
Outlook, which will send information, however, I am now getting the message
that I am out of memory or system resources, even if Outlook is the only
program running. I seem to have plenty of RAM and harddrive space. Can
anyone help? I have been trying to resolve this for 3 weeks and no
suggestions have worked so far.
