Unable to share file

When one user opens the db, other users will get the following message when
opening the same db through a LAN:
You do not have the exclusive access to the database at this time. If you
proceed to make changes, you may not be able to save them later

I checked the fix from:
http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;839782#kb5

I clear the .idb file from C:\Documents and Settings\abc\Application
Data\Microsoft\Access but still no luck. There is no exclusive setting in
the permission.

Your help is appreciated.

Do all users have read/write/create/delete permissions on the folder where
the mdb is located? They need this to create/delete the associated ldb
file.

Yes, they all have those permission on the folder. One thing I find that the
msg does not come up if the file is opened from File\ and then in the drop
down menu, select the recent file. The msg comes up if the db is opened from
a shortcut on desktop. Also, if there are 6 users A B C D E F. Computer A
could have the problem for user A C F only, computer B could have the problem
for B C... There is no consistent pattern I can trace.

Is this database split? It should be. See
