Unable to send file from Outbox

I tried to send a large .mpeg video clip from my home
PC. It remains unsent in my outbox. In the lower right
corner of the screen, it shows "sending mail", but after
3 hours, it was not sent. I also do not get an activity
light on my cable modem, so i think the file is not being
sent. During the 3 hours I observed it, the hard drive
light of my Sony PC was on continuously, and I could hear
the hard drive whirring away.

All attempts to delete the file are unsuccessful. My
computer begins to slow down when I try, with it taking
longer and longer to do anything.

Where can i go, without opening Outlook Express, to
delete this file from my Outbox.

Thanks.

Is this Outlook or Outlook Express? If Outlook, create a new .pst file and
make it your default. Close and reopen Outlook and then delete the file from
the old outbox.

If Outlook Express, you can probably delete the outbox.dbx file. Ask in an
OE group as I am no expert in OE.

Post all replies to the group to keep the discussion intact. Due to
the (insert latest virus name here) virus, all mail sent to my personal
account will be deleted without reading.

After searching google.groups.com and finding no answer, huntb asked:
