Unable to see domain from XP Pro client

I just added two new workstations to the (Windows 2003 SB) domain, but now
when I try to add domain groups to local groups, I cannot see the domain -
only the local machine. I ran into this once several months ago, and there
was an easy fix, but it has slipped my mind. Any ideas?

Brian,

Are the 2 new computers properly joined to the domain, and are they properly
setup with DNS? Is the domain properly setup so the workstations can access the
domain?

Yes - all of the below.

DNS: Manual, with static IP for the workstation. I can ping the server by
its AD name & get a response from the LAN IP address of the server.

Joined: I just set up four other PC's on this new domain a couple of weeks
ago. The client installed XP Pro on two more and asked me to add them to the
domain.
On these two, after adding to domain, I can log onto the domain just fine,
run logon scripts, get home directory, etc. The rights for Domain Admins &
Domain Users were correctly automatically set to Administrators & Power Users
respectively by the domain-joining process.

However, I wanted to move Domain Users to Power Users but cannot see the
domain in Locations - only the PC.

The sad thing is that I posted this question the last time this happened
several months ago, and the answer seemed either so obvious or so simple when
it was posted that I didn't bother to write it down, and now it has happened
again... I just can't find my prior post under any search terms I have tried
:(

Sorry about the incomplete initial post - as I clarified in the interim post,
I can see the domain for logon, scripts, etc. but not when attemtping to add
an AD user/group to local security group; there is no domain in Manage ->
Local Users & Groups -> (Group) -> Add (members) -> Locations - only the
local machine name.

You can login to a domain using NetBIOS based name resolution, yet be unable to
perform AD related domain management. I had exactly that experience the first
couple days I setup my first Server 2003 domain.

Compare "ipconfig /all" from the two problem computers with two non-problem
computers.
